About the Start Cup Milano Lombardia

The 2010 edition of the Start Cup Milano Lombardia, the business plan competition that supports the creation of high-tech start-ups, is promoted by six universities of the Lombardy region - Politecnico di Milano, Universitą degli Studi di Milano, Universitą Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano, Universitą degli Studi di Bergamo, Universitą degli Studi dell'Insubria-Varese e Como, Universitą Commerciale Luigi Bocconi - e dal Centro Promozione Start-UP USI-SUPSI di Lugano, to encourage and sustain would-be entrepreneurs.

 

The Start Cup Milano Lombardia is coordinated by the Acceleratore d'Impresa del Politecnico di Milano and the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, the Fondazione Filarete, the Parco Tecnologico Padano and the Incubatore Alimenta.



News 2010

 

For the first time this year's Edition will feature three different categories:


1. Life Science (Biotech - Medical Devices - Pharmaceuticals)
2. Clean Technologies & Food Technologies
3. ICT- Industrial Technology


The participation is free participation and mentoring



How to Participate

 

  • If you have an innovative entrepreneurial idea, but don't know how to write a business plans, apply to the Call For Ideas 2010 and submit your idea before the 25th of June. The best ideas will have access to free classes, tutors and experts who will teach you how to write a good business plan.

     

  • If you already have a business plan, send it immediately or no later than  the 17th of September.


  • The Prizegiving Cerimony and the "Premio Nazionale per l'Innovazione 2010"

     

    The final of the Start Cup will take place at the end of October. During the Prizegiving Cerimony the finalists, five for each category, will explain their project to three different and qualified juries.

     

    The winners will receive prizes and the best six business plan (two for each category) will have the chance to take part in the Premio Nazionale per l'Innovazione 2010, which will be hosted in Palermo, on December 3rd.
